The movement between automated finding to automated production\u2026 &amp; the output quality degrades along the way\u2026 <\/p><p>A Spanish educator just published a multipart thread pulling together various AI-related data points, one of which tracked memory &amp; another measured brain activity. Good ol &#8220;<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Explainable_artificial_intelligence\">explainable AI<\/a><\/strong>&#8221; rolled &#x1f32f; into a business model.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1&#xfe0f;&#x20e3; Users &#x1f642;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>must be motivated to pay for &#8220;good ai system &#x1f916;&#8221; and<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>compare the true cost of AI with &#8220;RTFM and use my own &#x1f9e0; to generate answer&#8221;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>2&#xfe0f;&#x20e3; Generative AI LLM &#x1f916;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>must honor copyright on training data<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>must micropay author when generating content based on authors IP if author wants that<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>must fact check using the same criteria human fact checkers apply (author? who paid for this content? Original content or bias-generated by Marketing\/Russians\/QAnon&#8230;? Does it reference source? Other reliable source for same exists?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>can use <a href=\"https:\/\/dl.acm.org\/doi\/10.5555\/1789394.1789447\">knowledge graphs for answer generation<\/a> at IMHO <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?app=desktop&amp;v=WqYBx2gB6vA\">0.1% of the cost compared to an LLM<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>3&#xfe0f;&#x20e3; content creators<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>needs to add context metadata (i.e. <a href=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/\">schema.org<\/a> or any other RDF vocab will do) about<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>author (= liable if this is &#x1f4a9;, payable if this is helpful &#x1f44d;&#x1f3fb;)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>copyright<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>links to sources where &#8220;facts&#8221; were copy pasted from<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>machine readable content representation (linked data, ActivityPub, &#8230;)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Micropayment for content use was first proposed by <a href=\"https:\/\/en.m.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Project_Xanadu\">Ted Nelson in Xanadu in 1960 <\/a> and has been refined in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.w3.org\/ECommerce\/Activity.html\">W3C micropayment initiative<\/a> : &#8220;<em>Semantic Web and [\u2026] Micropayments provide an alternative to [\u2026] advertising as a source of revenue<\/em>&#8220;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As an exercise for the interested reader I invite you to answer the question &#8220;<em>how can that Leobard dude reply using hyperlinks and list formatting?<\/em>&#8221; The rabbit hole out of which I communicate to you <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/Automattic\/wordpress-activitypub\/issues\/13\">is exciting since 2019<\/a> and IMHO shows the author &amp; markup solutions I outline above in action.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>@Su_G @the_roamer @scottmiller42 &#8211; IMHO the way out is that students and other LLM users can see hyperlinks to fact-checked sources to judge themselfes if a genai text is legit.
